Farming with Recipe Route

Our goal is to drive nearby customers to your farm. By posting your farm and inventory to Recipe Route, your ingredients and farm will be incorporated into users’ recipes.

Prerequisites

Be open to the public

Make sure you have a way for customers to purchase goods from your farm. This is typically in the form of a farm stand or a farm store. When you publish your farm on Recipe Route, you are inviting the public to visit your farm.

Meet all local regulations

It is your responsibility to ensure that your farm business complies with all rules and regulations in your area.

Steps to post your farm

1. Download Recipe Route and create an account. You can select ‘I am a farmer’ on the registration page.

2. You can always toggle this preference on or off by tapping the settings cog, ‘Preferences’, and ‘I am a farmer’. Your home screen will now show a ‘Farm’ menu item.

3. Tap ‘Farm’ to access your farm listing. Enter your ‘Farm Name’ and use the plus icon to add inventory items. You can toggle these items on and off as they become available or not available in your stock. Tap ‘Location’ to launch the location picker. Here you can pinch and swipe the map to find your location or type in an address. Tap the map where the public should navigate when visiting your farm. Be sure to tap the checkmark icon in the upper-right to accept that location. Finally, toggle ‘Farm Published’ to the on position and tap ‘Save Farm’.

Keep your inventory accurate

Realtime, nearby ingredient data is what will make Recipe Route special! It is very important to keep your inventory accurate on Recipe Route. Always add and remove items or toggle them off when they become available or are sold out. If you are going to be away from your farm for a while, or it is your off-season, you can simply un-publish your farm temporarily.

Onward!

That’s it! You can now nurture your land and offer up your wares to your community. Thank you for making Recipe Route awesome! We wish you success in your farm venture!
